Galvanized supply lines that have run out of runway
Homes built before World War II were plumbed with galvanized iron supply lines. Those pipes have a service life of roughly 50 to 70 years. If your Seminole Heights home still has the original galvanized, you are living on borrowed time. Symptoms include reduced pressure, orange or rusty water, pinhole leaks that show up behind walls, and multiple fixtures that all deliver less water than they used to.
